Illinois caregiver training & compliance — IDOA, IDPH & CILA

IDOA Community Care Program 42 CFR 484.80 77 Ill. Adm. Code 295 Alzheimer's & Dementia
§ 01 — The problem
Surveys don't fail on care.
They fail on paperwork.
  • !
Missed annual deadlines. A caregiver's in-service lapses and nobody noticed until the surveyor did.
  • !
Records scattered everywhere. Certificates in email, sign-off sheets in a binder, hours in a spreadsheet.
  • !
No proof mid-year. A surveyor arrives in month seven and there's nothing to show for the annual training yet.

One system that keeps you ready.

Care Training Portal runs the whole training lifecycle and leaves a clean, retained record behind every caregiver.

  • Every required course delivered online, paced from each caregiver's hire date.
  • A branded certificate issued automatically the moment a caregiver passes.
  • A certificate per quarter on annual training — so there's always proof, even mid-year.
  • Print-ready, binder-formatted documents and a public certificate-verification page.
§ 02 — How it works

From new hire to survey-ready in four steps.

01

Enroll

Add a caregiver and pick their course. Add one, or bulk-import a roster by CSV.

02

Train

Caregivers complete slide lessons with knowledge checks and timed engagement, paced to the requirement.

03

Certify

They pass the exam and a competency check; a branded certificate is issued and logged automatically.

04

Stay ready

Your dashboard flags renewals before they lapse and keeps every record retained and survey-ready.

§ 03 — Curriculum

Six courses, the way Illinois requires them.

Initial and annual caregiver training plus supplemental home-health and assisted-living in-service — each mapped to its governing standard. Caregivers can sign in to take any course assigned to them.

§ 04 — What your agency gets

Built for the people who answer to the surveyor.

Audit-ready records

Every completion, exam score, competency sign-off, and certificate is stored, dated, and retained for the required minimum.

Certificate per quarter

Annual training issues a certificate as each quarter is completed — so you always have proof of what's covered, even mid-year.

Hire-date or calendar cycles

Choose how each agency's annual year is anchored. The system paces training and flags renewals automatically.

Per-agency isolation

Each agency sees only its own caregivers and records, enforced at the database level. One platform, fully separated.

Public certificate verification

Anyone with a certificate code can confirm it's genuine on a public verify page — no account needed.

Print-ready binder documents

Log sheets, competency forms, exam score cards, and a full compliance packet — formatted to print and file.

§ 05 — Your dashboard

See who's compliant, who's due, and who needs action — at a glance.

Open the portal and your whole roster is color-coded by status. Renewals surface before they lapse, so nothing slips between hire date and survey day.

§ 07 — Questions

Straight answers.

Is Care Training Portal approved by IDOA or IDPH? +

No. We're an independent training provider. Our courses are built to meet the IDOA Community Care Program and IDPH training requirements and cite the governing standards, but we don't claim state approval or endorsement, and the platform never represents itself as a state agency. CNA Exam Prep is supplemental and is not an IDPH-approved Basic Nursing Assistant Training Program.

How fast can we get our agency set up? +

Request access below and we'll provision your agency account and send your admin login. From there you can add caregivers individually or import a full roster by CSV and start enrolling the same day.

What happens when a surveyor visits? +

Open the caregiver's record and download a print-ready compliance packet — training log, exam score card, competency evaluation, and certificates — all dated and formatted for the binder. Quarterly certificates mean you have proof at any point in the year.

How do caregivers take the training? +

Each caregiver gets their own login and works through slide-based lessons with knowledge checks and a timed engagement requirement, then a final exam and competency evaluation. Annual training is delivered in four quarterly blocks across the employment year.

How does billing work? +

You're billed per certificate issued, plus a one-time onboarding fee. Payments are collected securely via Payoneer (card or bank); seats are credited once payment is recorded. No long-term contract.
